What's for Dinner?
Got some green beans & purple peppers from our vegetable garden. One of my husband's favorite is Thai Basil stir - fry so it was a no brainer dinner plan!
About the purple peppers: It was a mistake, we have been waiting for some green peppers, after tossing =( a few i thought sick (purple) peppers... i realized we must have took the wrong plant...
Anyways, i think i'm loving this accidental mistake!
I think they are crunchier than green pepper & it makes the dish prettier! I also cut half a yellow onion, a carrot & a few skinless & boneless chicken thighs (roughly same size as vegetables)
Here is the star of this dish:
Serve it with some steamed Jasmine Rice.

I used the mortar to crush together a few cloves of garlic & one red chili.
Please don't substitute it with regular italian basil! Go to your local asian markets, they always have it! You can definitely play around & change up the vegetables or even make it with Tofu!
I personally think the Thai Basil has more of a licorish taste & gives a stronger flavors to the dish.
Some oil, fish sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce & salt n pepper later... you get one of the most popular & delicious Thai dish!
Serve it with some steamed Jasmine Rice.
In Thailand they would add an fried egg on top, it instantly becomes the ultimate comfort food!

Erin's wedding
Pretty teal dress
White & yellow shasta daisies bouquet
Ivory shoes of our choice!
Simple & Lovely
Found these perfect ivory shoes from DSW to go with the pretty teal dress made by her talented maid of honor. It is going to be very similar to this one. The shoes were on sale from $64.00! Can't beat the price & i also used a free shipping promotion code. I also decided on a messy updo look for my hair.
I feel so honored & excited about being a bridesmaid for the 1st time!!

8.9 Earthquake struck Japan triggering a Tsunami
I'm glad to learn that my friends & family in Japan are okay... However,
since Friday, there has been countless aftershocks, a shoreline-crushing tsunami and an evolving crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. 6,000 are officially confirmed as either dead or missing. Many more are unaccounted for. Tens of thousands have gone days with little food, little water and almost no heat. Their towns have been demolished, more than 500,000 people have been evacuated from the hardest-hit areas.
To everyone affected by this disaster in Japan: My prayers, thoughts & love!

I love the idea of displaying a collection of things you love, i think it shows personality & style. The fact that this is a antique cabinet just wins my heart. I know this will be perfect for my "kinda" foyer, now i'm on a mission to find a one the right size!

My 1st Blog Ever!
I'm kinda kicking myself for not trying this earlier. Somehow, i thought this would be much harder. I know there are more to explore but i think this is quite good so far. This is going to be sort of like a diary i never had but without any secrets & also a documentary for all of my interests.
